WIP Wednesday Post 3!

Posted by Cristina Barnes on September 21, 2011 at 9:15 AM

Hello all! I've got several WIP's going. Well as you may know I also craft for business so sneaking in some personal crocheting or knitting is hard. I have made several of my most popular items (my Mickey Minnie sets) so I can have them almost ready for shipping as orders come in. I think I have found a balance between business and personal projects that is finally working.

So onto my WIP's I am making this hat and scarf set for my son's Christmas present. Both of my sons LOVE Super Mario Bros. So I thought this set is perfect and he would love it. And I think he will be the coolest kid in school (next to his brother with is also going to get a hat and scarf set but a different kind haven't started on his just yet though) Anyway this is a Chain Chomp Set I found on Ravelry. It is going fast as I work on a circle or two as I walk by the project bag sitting on my wall (Yup I have hooks on my wall next to my couch where I work most of the time with all my WIP's)

Next is this cute shirt that I am working on for my daughter. It is actually a tank that comes 3 to a pack and I am accenting the arms and bottom hem with a crochet design. I love how it's looking! It is also going to have embroidered flowers on the front. This is a add as I see fit kinda project. And I'm doing it with Red Heart Shimmer so it has some bling! She loves it I had her try it on to see the length and she didn't want me to take it off. BTW length wasn't what I wanted but I had already finished it off so left it that way. I was going for a dress length to the knees. Didn't quite make it.

This is a Remote Control caddy I am making for my Step-father's Birthday. Again this is another Design as you go project. I ran out of the yarn I started with so I am finishing it with some WW Malabrigo. I think it will do fine as the body of it is a nice wool with great colors but kinda itch I think and the part that will go over the arm rest on his recliner will be in the fabulously soft and yummy Malabrigo. If you haven't worked with Malabrigo I strongly suggest you try it at least once. It is heaven.

If it's not to much to ask I'd like to invite you to join my new project The Ad Exchange Project. This project would benifit anyone that has a blog or home based business. We need more participants to make it a success here is the link to that blog. The Ad Exchange Project please share and tweet it and help me get the word out :) Thanks in advance!

Well that's it for now. Hopefully these will all be FO's soon! Well hope you enjoyed and don't forget to visit the other wonderful blogs participating in WIP Wednesdays!

That chain chomp set is fab - I just checked it out on Ravelry. Now I wish I knew someone into Super Mario so that I could make one too!

Hi :) Thanks for commenting on my blog (about my boyfriend's socks) - in answer to your question it is self striping yarn - I don't think I have the patience to make stripes myself! And trust me, socks are easier than you think!

Love your Super Mario projects, so cool!
